Because there are some functional governments in the world that don’t allow US misinformation to spread without challenge.

Because she and her partner who happens to be a trans Uyghur we’re physically threatened and called out by the government for mild criticisms. Which is extremely sad since she was very good representation for people in China in general. And would have shown that the government of China isn’t as bigoted and racist as it obviously is had they simply not been so insecure that they couldn’t take such mild criticism.
