You have no idea what directives Pete Hegseth gave the Pentagon which effected the orders, maintenance, or operation of the BlackHawk Helicopter which flew into the plane killing everyone. When incompetence is put in charge, things break, sometimes slowly, sometimes immediately, and when you purposefully throw a monkey wrench into the internal operations of state organs, people die. And now people have died, on Donald Trump’s watch. The Buck Stops With Him as it has with all other Presidents before him.
The entire federal workforce has extremely poor morale right now because of Traitorapist Trump. And the poor morale likely also caused the 2nd problem of not enough workers doing air traffic control. Trump’s enshitification efforts have already had time to take effect. The quality of government has already been degraded.
That’s some stupid fucking horseshit. It would be nearly impossible to fire a large part of an organization without a noticeable effect. Here we have fatal evidence of that. Yeah people assume you’re coming in bad faith because how could we not?

Whatever orders Hegseth gave, it’s highly unlikey they would have had an immediate effect on operational readiness in such a short time.
And I say this as someone who thinks Hegseth is an out-of-control idiot and probably a traitor put in to sabotage the US military.

Not in that incident, no. It may affect the future, but that incident seemed to be pilot error according to the ATC recordings.
