I’d be incredibly insulted if I were an ASU student. They think they’re going to encourage people to NARC by showing off this T-shirt. That’s what they think of the capacity of ASU students.
Inflation’s gotten so bad, nowadays all you get is a T-shirt. Used to be you could get 40 pieces of silver for it.

Building on this, it’s true that the current value of that amount of silver is probably only a few hundred dollars, but at the time, it may have been months worth of salary for a laborer.

Yes. It would be deflation but the joke doesn’t work that way and I figured I could get away with it.
I chose to tell the joke knowing it contained an error, bringing shame and dishonor upon my family.
