Reuters, citing two anonymous sources, reported Friday that senior career officials at the Office of Personnel Management, the governing agency for the federal workforce, have had their access to department data revoked. They lost access to the Enterprise Human Resources Integration database, which includes the dates of birth, Social Security numbers, appraisals, home addresses, pay grades, and length of service of government workers.

Original article is an opinion piece from The New Republic.

How about an ongoing summary from one of The Onion’s accounts on BlueSky?

      https://bsky.app/profile/bencollins.bsky.social/post/3lh5ab2coi22e

Or The Wired article I posted elsewhere about another government agency where the same thing is happening:

      https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-lackeys-general-services-administration/

Edit: Not to say that that isn’t a valid point, but this is happening reported elsewhere, and I’ve seen people talking about multiple agencies who have been locked out of their offices by Musk’s goons.

I appreciate the additional alternate links.

The Yahoo link masks the original source and it’s only labeled as an opinion piece in the article. The contents of the article may be fine, but some folks will only have time to read the headline and jump to the comments.

It’s a good point. Another good link is the Reuters article linked in the paragraph I grabbed, but I didn’t think to link it in the original post.
