Summary

Speaking on Meet the Press, Sen. Andy Kim (D-N.J.) warned that Republicans shouldn’t count on Democratic support for a continuing resolution before the March 14 deadline.

He criticized Trump’s efforts to dismantle agencies like USAID and the Department of Education.

Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) echoed concerns over agency budget cuts.

Kim stressed that if a shutdown occurs, Republicans should be blamed for failing to govern.

    Trump/Musk see that as a win/win.

They don’t want government to function. Whether it’s gutted or shut down makes no difference to them.

I think this is something that a lot of people don’t understand, that whether the Republicans and the billionaires behind them take over everything or get to fill a power vacuum they get what they want either way, uncontested control and the freedom to loot America for its scrap.
