Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent insists the access is “read-only,” but reports suggest Musk’s team has altered code.
Johnson has not publicly confirmed the hearing, and Democrats, in the GOP-controlled House, lack subpoena power to compel testimony from Musk or Bessent.
