The folks over at XDA have rooted the original Hibreak and are actively working on trying to reverse engineer the display drivers so they can install LineageOS. The person working on it right now has a good track record with other e-ink phones.
I wouldn’t pull any triggers until it’s released, but worth watching that activity.
It seems the things that are most important to me, no one else cares about, because they’re always missing from these reviews.
I agree but in this case an unlocked bootloader is unlikely to help. These niche devices rarely get good roms

They also rarely if ever list the spectrum bands the phone can access. You know, so I can figure out whether it can be used as a … phone?
