Lamar filled the stage with performers, but none of them seemed to be white. While most may not even have noticed, some particularly upset users took to X to express their frustration.

“There’s no diversity in the half time show. DEI only goes one direction and this horrible halftime show perfectly represents why DEI needs to die,” a user wrote.

Oh I did. I just sat there with my hands tented together saying good…gooood over and over

Kendrick knew exactly what he was doing by having everyone be non-white. I was all for it.

Me too. I was like… ohh they aren’t gonna like this with a big ole smile on my face.

And they did not disappoint. ❄️

I spent the entire SB waiting for the halftime show for that very reason. I caught some of it, my environment was too noisy for some of it. But when I heard his opening line about the revolution being televised I knew it was going to be what I was hoping for.

It’s a stupid take to complain about no white people, but to claim that it’s intentional and that’s a good thing, is even more stupid.

        Uhm, what?

It was intentional. Did you not hear the lines Samuel L. Jackson said and what he wore? He was specifically playing the part of racist america. “It’s too ghetto” “oh see the slow song was nice”. Everyone being black was completely, 100% intentional.

I’m saying it’s a good thing cause it’s a middle finger to uppity white people in this country who clutch their pearls at anything more than a suntan level skin color. Look at this successful black man with all these successful black people in your white America.

Lol well I guess i really can’t say much because i didn’t watch it, but if that’s the message then I’m glad I didn’t bother. Nobody cares if black people are successful, and the couple of “uppity white people” who are bothered by their success don’t matter anyway. Seriously we’ve had successful black people in this country for a hundred years, especially in the entertainment industry. It’s not like it’s notable or offensive to anyone anymore.
