    Never heard of Network States before. Based on the above AI summary and not reading the book, how does this theory handle the physical layer? In the end, someone has to put down and maintain the cable for users to have internet access.

      Theres a book about it, straight up called Network States. I haven’t read it yet because I’m busy as the autocracy is here. But I’m sure its detailed in there. I mostly know that companies will own the land, and use the military as a private police force via some remnant of the federal government.

        I should put it on my to-read list. I have so many questions about this concept, like what happens to the rules of war, peace treaties, production of food and goods, trade, traffies, taxes, education, roads.
