From Jolena Tagg

Golden hour fades into blue hour, and then blue turns to purple? Knocked a photo off my list that I wanted, alpenglow over the mountains with the owls. Also got a shot that I didn’t know I wanted or needed, a pastel purple sky as this short eared owl looked at me.

Skagit Co.

Alpenglow: the rosy light of the setting or rising sun seen on high mountains.

I never paid attention much to an owl’s feathers, but they are absolutely majestic. Beautiful!

Well, I know a few of you do still, but I think the attention span has gone down a bit since the original #rd party app influx. The last few things that took me a couple days of work to do didn’t do great, so I’ve gone for more quantity with the occasional article by someone else tossed in. If I come across something that requires an essay by me, I won’t shoo it away, but that stuff doesn’t impress the masses here anymore.

Yeah but we all know what rictal bristles are now!

And . . . some other stuff. Like the ends of the feathers and . . umm . . that owl with the eyeshadow.

Aww, I am glad you cherish your new owl knowledge.

I just gave you a transcript to read about poison in the other thread. It’s got some real good info in it.

Not exactly a fun topic like owl moustaches, but it is important in regard to owl conservation. I’ll keep my eyes out for some fun articles too though, just for you!
