I have seen a lot of tesla vandalism online the last few days and I’m kind of on the fence about it.
I’ve seen several examples locally here in BC, Canada.
I think totally warranted at newly purchased teslas going forward. Also it serves as a deterrent for potential future buyers.
But vandalizing a car that is a few years old I think is lame. Those driversare already being punished enough by driving something around that’s worth less than scrap.
One that’s already purchased? I could go either way.
A lot full of cars at the dealership? All bets are off.
I happen to know where a ‘graveyard’ of unsellable teslas is within 20 miles of where I live. The company has insurance on them though, I guarantee it.
I thought teslas whole shtick was bypassing stealerships. you know, before they where Nazis.
“Dealership” may be the wrong word, but they have “showrooms,” with plenty of stock, all over the country.
They still have dealerships more or less. They also have to store the cars somewhere before you take delivery.
They don’t just poof on your doorstep after you click buy.
