I have seen a lot of tesla vandalism online the last few days and I’m kind of on the fence about it.

I’ve seen several examples locally here in BC, Canada.

I think totally warranted at newly purchased teslas going forward. Also it serves as a deterrent for potential future buyers.

But vandalizing a car that is a few years old I think is lame. Those driversare already being punished enough by driving something around that’s worth less than scrap.

        the thing you might not realize, that when you draw with your fingers on an unwashed car you can be girding that dust into the paint. Might not always show but if you do it on a really dirty car it might stick around

        and then to do it on a stainless steel POS… that might really scratch it in

          If you care that much about your paint job or surface finish and own a tesla you can afford a car wash. Or, you know, wax it idk.

          Car’s probably not owned though, probably on lease. In which case this would fall under normal wear and tear. So it still doesn’t really matter.
