Everyone should have a Little Owl to love.
But arrange better care for them than Florence Nightingale did!
That’s the saddest story I’ve heard :(
It does seem like she was loved though by Florence herself, though this is a good reason why we shouldn’t keep wild animals as pets
She did delay her travel to Crimea to make sure her body was taken care of, and we can still pay remembrance to Athena today at the museum in London. She will always be remembered as a beloved companion.
