I’ve been thinking I should get and old pixel and load it up with GrapheneOS, just in case I’m at an event where I’d rather not have my location broadcast.

Just dont bring your phone. That’d what I would do.
But it should be pretty simple installing grapheneOS on an old pixel. I’ve never done it but there are guides on their site. Looks simple enough.
