Reporters gathered at the scene noted that by “putting [his] body on the line,” this particular lawmaker apparently just meant standing at the back of a quiet group and playing online chess on his phone.

If you are in a situation where your people are behind every blade of grass, sitting with a gun, what the fuck are you doing then, you won already, you have exactly the ingredients for the systematic change, big and dedicated community.
But if you don’t have big enough community to change or at least affect the government, you are sure as shit don’t have big enough community to enact whatever Rambo fantasies you have. You have enough people to be hunted like an animal and be made an example of what happens when a small group of lunatics are starting to think they can affect the faschistic machine with a pistol.

      I was paraphrasing.

“We can never invade America,” Japanese Admiral Yamamoto has been quoted as saying. Yamamoto, who attended college in America, explained his logic this way: “There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”

I know. The reason he said it is because he knew that there will be millions of Americans with millions of guns fighting the invasion.
And I know that there will be no millions of Americans fighting the fascism. You will be happy to see dozens. Realistically you will have less.
