They’re obeying the courts now and people are using the shit out of them, so until they say they’re ignoring the constitution and end up dead, it seems so.

They are claiming to obey courts but are dragging their feet on actually complying with court orders. I don’t think they are going to publicly acknowledge the fact that they are breaking the law and violating the constitution, they’re just going to keep doing whatever they want and keep lying about it being legal.

This executive order exists for that reason, to tell the rest of the executive branch to shut the fuck up about any concerns they have about the legality of what they are being told to do. The president and AG decide what is legal, and if you don’t like it, you can quit. Even if the don’t explicitly state it, functionally, interpretation of and compliance with court orders would fall into that same category of legal questions.

UNTIL they specifically say they are no longer abiding the constitution, the military won’t do anything, and there won’t be a confrontation from states. They can continue to be sued into oblivion until then, and there are levers the judicial can push and pull to force compliance without a standing army.

Until the courts are so overrun with cases that effectively they can do what they want until the court date.
