In a move that one political scientist said appeared aimed at “promoting autocracy globally,” U.S. President Donald Trump’s media company sued a Supreme Court justice in Brazil Tuesday just as the judge was considering whether to order the arrest of former right-wing Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro—a close ally of Trump.

I think he is suing via his ownership of Rumble and Truth Social because the judge made them take stuff down. Because I guess both are available in Brazil. I guess?

There’s still the question why an American court would have jurisdiction to apply the American constitution in Brazil.

          From the article

filed a lawsuit against Justice Alexandre de Moraes in a U.S. court in Tampa, Florida.

The argument that follows is literally that a Brazilian court didn’t follow the US constitution.

This is as bananas as China starting to fine people that talk about Taiwan or the Tienanmen protests anywhere in the world.

He’s just stealing it from Texas allowing people to sue for abortions that didn’t even happen in their jurisdiction and didn’t even involve the suing party.

The US is probably going to steal any assets Alexandre de Moraes has in the US. But that will open a Pandora box - one that might make American oligrachs like Musk very unhappy.
