Summary

Trump has frozen billions in federal agricultural funds linked to Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, leaving farmers struggling ahead of the spring season.

Many had planned investments in irrigation, fencing, and conservation projects, now at risk. Small farms, already financially vulnerable, are particularly hard-hit.

While the USDA released $20 million, farmers say it’s insufficient. Some are taking loans to cover gaps, while advocacy groups warn of canceled contracts and business disruptions.

The administration defends the freeze, citing concerns over non-agriculture spending, but has not provided a timeline for further releases.

Hopefully Trump finds out first hand what happens when you piss off large numbers of people that have tons of fertilizer that can be easily made into explosives powerful enough to level buildings

Go around any rural area and a quarter of the house you see are decked out in Trump stuff. Trump could go into their house, fuck their wife, and then kill their dog and they will still love him.

I don’t know how you haven’t figured this out over the past 9 years.

As things get worse, I’m sure we’ll see plenty of people suffering the consequences of electing Trump and blaming it on the people around Trump. They may be losing the farm and their home and livelihood, but rather than shifting ideologically, they’ll be talking about warning Trump that the government is doing this stuff behind his back.
