If trump was assassinated, JD would have beat Kamala by a shit ton more votes, maybe even gotten the popular vote win.
The vast majority of people I know who voted D, did it with at least one hand clenching their noses, stopping trump was the only reason anyone I know would vote for a pro-fracking, pro-borderwall, pro-corp, empty suit with zero charisma or authenticy.
Still 100% better than trump, but that’s the only reason she got any votes.

Kamala only had 3 months to campaign and it was surprisingly closer than I expected it to be
If she had the full year to campaign the more rural parts of the country and make adjustments she likely would have won
