You are seriously summing up a coalition to get how much the afd was trashed (it wasn’t)? CDU was at 22 or so, afd at 20 or so, there was barely a 2% difference. The point isn’t that afd can’t rule now but that one German out of five voted for a neonazi party

CDU/CSU got 29% of the votes in this election.
AfD got 21%.
Orthogonal issue.
Is it though? I think both parties align quite well on a lot of issues.
