Summary

During a White House meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Donald Trump declined to call Russian President Vladimir Putin a “dictator” after previously labeling Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy one.

Trump claimed the war could end “within weeks” and pushed for a deal giving the U.S. access to Ukraine’s mineral profits.

While criticizing Zelenskyy, Trump said he’s had “good talks” with Putin and has made no demands of Russia.

He ruled out NATO membership for Ukraine and a return to its 2014 borders, signaling a major U.S. policy shift.

Would you call out your boss in public?

Yes? I’m paid to be there too and supposedly they want my opinion. Bosses are allowed to be wrong, and you’re allowed to correct them. Not doing so is shooting yourself and everyone else who works with you in the foot.

But I forgot this is about Trump and Putin. Putin’s not Trump’s boss though. He’s his owner. Different dynamic.
