So for anyone who didn’t want to read the long comment: they created a discussion group specifically for trans people to discuss trans issues… Then they used that information against them.
If you work for the government at all, DO NOT use any official/government-provided means of communication for anything other than work. Even if they tell you it’s ok.
This is generally good advice if you work for anything but the smallest of companies.
If you don’t directly answer to a C suite exec while being an individual contributer AND know and trust the (singular) IT person, the company is too big to trust with non work information.
