Summary

Trump dismissed concerns over his new tariffs, calling them a “little disturbance,” despite warnings from retailers and even some Republicans about rising prices.

With inflation and cost-of-living pressures still top concerns, Trump blames his predecessor, but Democrats argue his policies will worsen the situation.

Critics warn tariffs on allies could hurt manufacturing and farming, giving Democrats a rallying point ahead of midterms.

If prices keep rising, Trump’s economic stance may become a political liability, despite his strong voter support, potentially benefiting Democrats seeking to regain power.

This reads like a comment from r/conservative. Pessimism and whining get upvotes though, so congrats on the internet points, I guess.

I am not American, absolutely not republican (they really should change that to oligarchic) or conservative, nor sympathizer. I honestly agree with their pessimistic view.

Apparently the DNC just needs replaced by Lemmy. They got it all figured out behind their keyboards.
