The Supreme Court has upheld a lower court’s order forcing USAID/State to immediately pay ~ $2 billion owed to contractors for work they’ve already performed.

In related news, Alito & team should be impeached for this blatantly unconstitutional dissent:

JUSTICE ALITO , with whom JUSTICE THOMAS, JUSTICE GORSUCH , and JUSTICE KAVANAUGH join, dissenting from the denial of the application to vacate order.

Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Govern ment of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic “No,” but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise. I am stunned.

That’s literally the job of the judicial branch, you fucking dumbass.

When people in our judicial system think money should NOT be paid to workers for work completed that doesn’t bode well for working class, going forward.

Plus, I suspect their views change when that “single district-court judge” is their pet guy in Waco, TX which Republicans have cultivated as a rubber-stamp for their agenda, and set it up so all lawsuits from the correct zip code go to him.
