Farmers and meat producers across the U.S. can expect the new tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China and the retaliation to hurt their bottom lines by billions of dollars if they stay in place a while.
Trump should give everyone in America a $2000/month payment as some type of ‘universal’ income for ‘basic’ needs and use the money from the tariffs to pay for it.
That or use his Sovereign Wealth Fund* idea similar to how Alaska uses theirs and make it a basic UBI program. Unfortunately, this is Trump we are speaking of so he will just pocket everything instead.
