    So, you prefer letting those who stayed on reddit running the canvas with those “fuck spez”'s that will do absolutely nothing against Reddit traffic ?

      I really see this as just further padding their numbers in advance of IPO. Your engagement is actively being wrapped up into reports that are showing investors “look, we’re as healthy as ever, look at our MAUs, look at how long users stay on the site!

      I understand the motivation, but they won’t allow materially impactful advertising of Lemmy in /r/place. So now you’re padding their numbers AND it’s for naught.

      I don’t care what they do, but I’m not going to encourage anyone to go back there. Certainly not over fucking r/place, that shit was always lame

      There’s a lot of shitty people who are still on reddit that I don’t want coming here. Reddit will die on it’s own regardless of what pictures are put on /r/place
