JPEGXL is much more efficient in mg experience. They can convert jpeg into jxl with mathematically loseless and visually loseless, saving like 50-60% of the space from jpeg. Only problem is there are almost no gallery apps for android that can view them
WebPs load faster because the file sizes are smaller (at equivalent image quality). There are other benefits, too, but I think that’s the main one.
I don’t know how it compares to JPEG XL.
