evangelical Christians put on the idea “God needs to be feared more than They need to be followed”

Who is “they”? God? Because if so, that’s wrong.

Fearing someone at the cost of spreading their message is nonsensical, idiotic, hypocritical, and toxic to human society.

So… you did write about that. If you aren’t talking about the fear of the lord, what fear are you talking about?

The fear we are supposed to have is the fear of the Lord. This fear is like an “awe,” recognition of His power compared to our lack of power, the deepest respect a person can have, being humble, having a desire to honer Him. Having an understanding His ways are much greater than our ways.

1)Publicly, evangelical Christians make a huge deal of following arbitrary rules about what not to do in order to avoid being eternally damned to hell because they ostensibly believe fearing God’s power and fearing retribution is more important than actually Godly, or doing anything good.

2)When I used the pronoun “They” with a capital ‘T’ I’m referring to the God that I believe exists, and I used the capital ‘T’ to make it more clear that it’s not referring to any other person or people group I referenced.

3)Being scared and fearing are two different things. The publicly inferable goal of evangelicals is to actively scare people into joining their cult.

The more I think about it the more difficult I think it is to make a very clear definition of the difference between “scared” and “fearing” so I’ll concede that I did make a point about being scared of God or consequences in my first comment.

Just a heads up though I’m unlikely to respond to you again. Looking at your comment history has convinced me you’re more of a troll or a sea lion than someone actually interested in this conversation, especially since you provided very little information in your first comment to the point that I still don’t know what you were trying to say.

I wish you a better day than you were already having.

The publicly inferable goal of evangelicals is to actively scare people into joining their cult.

You can infer anything you want, but that’s not the goal, intent, or strategy of evangelicals. Winning people to Christ with fear is the wrong way. Using/showing the unconditional love and acceptance of God is the right way.

Anyway, the difference in fear was my point. If something is making you actually afraid, it’s probably not from the Lord. I have the fear of the Lord, but I’m not scared or afraid of Him.

        Have an excellent day.
