Welcome to any and all Manchester United fans. I couldn’t find a United community on here so figured I’d start one myself.

I’m quite open to suggestions as to how fans would like this community to be. My goal here is to make this a welcoming place for all fans to discuss and share news about our club. I’ve chucked some basic rules in the sidebar which will be developed as the community grows.

Feel free to start posting, GGMU!

I’m in absolute disbelief how much people have switched from supporting the blackout to standing up for corporations because ‘they’re a company they have to make a profit’. Capitalism has done a number on people…

At this point I don’t even know what would be better, to keep the blackout going or to stop it, let reddit go through with the changes, and hope it dies.

I hope we can build this community same as we did with the reddit one.

It’s interesting (to say the least) to see many are so aggressively against the blackouts. I’m guessing those people are ones who have only ever used the official Reddit app and just accept it. I’ve been a RIF user since before Reddit had an app. I installed the official app once and think I uninstalled it the same day because it’s just horrible. I’m sure there will be a good number migrating over, especially when the third party apps are killed off. We just need to make sure everyone is aware that there is an alternative community.

I say we just get some more people here and let them shit post themselves to death in Reddit. The Reddit community will decrease when 3rd party apps die.

The problem isn’t corporations trying to make a profit. The problem is corporations doing shitty things to make a profit.

Turning a free API into a paid one to cover costs and make profits isn’t even that big of a deal. There are many paid APIs that are fairly priced. Except they had to make it prohibitively expensive to make most third party apps no longer viable
