Government apply heavy taxes on tabacco and alcohol as a deterrent. A bottle of spirits is like $40 for the cheapest shit, most will run you between 50-70 for decent stuff. I haven’t smoked in a very long time so not 100% but I think 1 pack of smokes is the better part of $50 now, which is fucking insane
