That being said I’ll vote for whoever makes it so I no longer have to pay hundreds of dollars every month into a system I’ll never benefit from.
The same way I know a warehouse that takes 3 boxes in for every 2 boxes it sends out will eventually fill up. Social Security cannot fund itself, and once my generation (millennials) hits retirement age, there will not be enough young people to pay for the burden we put on the system.
It isn’t magic, you need to pay the piper or default, those are your two options.

Defending mccarthy in any way is a defence of his actions. Communists existing in high offices is not an excuse to carry out those actions. McCarthy’s famous list he claimed was of communists in the U.S. government changed length every time he brought it up. That sounds like something someone who was wrong would do.
