Dude, the manospere doesn’t want to help you to be happy in a relationship with a woman any more than nicorette wants to help you permanently kick your nicotine habit or the Republican party wants rural white folk to be healthy and wealthy. If these people actually solved your problems, they’d lose their ability to control you.
I mean, first of all, I am quite far outside the manosphere. I like discussing it as in interesting topic of conversation, but I consume none of its content.
You bring up an interesting point, though. To what extent does a content producer actually need to solve the problems they are purporting to solve? I would argue that the general zeitgeist of the cultural landscape needs to at least have a few grains of truth. Sure, nicotine gums would prefer that you keep craving nicotine forever - but that doesn’t mean that switching to gum and gradually reducing the dosage can’t be an effective strategy for quitting smoking.
I find your neutrality unconvincing, I’m afraid.
Yes, there are a few grains of truth on the surface but there’s the toxic and pervasive undercurrent of mistreatment of women and the insane lies like kindness and strength being opposites. But you knew all that, right, what with you finding it all so interesting but without consuming any of the content yourself.
The manosphere feeds on resentment. It wants more incels, not less.
