    But it does make sense. The women’s chess tournament have a very specific purpose. To combat the “inherent advantage” of a historically and culturally male dominated sport. It’s why we don’t see a lot of women in the top of open tournaments, Not because they have a inherent biological disadvantage (as far as I know). While allowing trans people sounds nice and easy on paper it would put the women only leagues at risk for unethical people (read Niemann) to simply “transition” and break the entire system.
