    tl;dw What is the use case for this? It seems like a desktop machine priced like a server, just without flexibility, or RAID

      Not sure if there’s a rackable case/mod for the Mac Studio, but the Mac Pro also has a rackable form factor (like a server) that some shops might like: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/mac-pro/rack

      This upgrade could fit Apple silicon into an existing audio/video workflow for some design/editing companies.

      Its a mac studio in a larger box, but you pay 3000 dollars extra for pcie slots you can use for things, such as storage and special audio equipment etc

      For 3d modelling (or gaming) youre much better off getting a windows pc with a 4090 and save 50%
