Turning the mistrust of pharmaceutical corporations and the ultra rich into a right wing partisan issue was some really low effort media narrative manipulation to skirt around the reality that the pandemic was caused by right wing politicians trying to ignore that covid existed and do nothing about it to maintain the profit margins and keep the wheels of capitalism moving at all costs when even a small amount of prophylactic measures taken early could have worked wonders and prevented the majority of the deaths we saw and even any need for a vaccine at all. And then we were supposed to believe the virus came from a bat at a wet market near a lab that was specifically working on corona virus mutations and not the lab. But now the CIA even admits that the wuhan Lab origin is the most likely scenario as to covid 19’s origin. But sure lets rush this vaccine out and blame anyone that didn’t want to take it for the continuation of its spread instead of those in power who were obviously the most culpable for this fiasco. What a quick and easy way to manipulate the narrative and shift blame from those in power who obviously mishandled this pandemic to the working class who were always powerless and at the mercy of the whims of those in power making the decisions that resulted in things going the way they did.
Covid 19 was new and didn’t have established treatments, making it deadlier even if you were rich.
Therefore, it was very much in the self interest of said rich old people for the general population to be vaccinated and the virus kept under control from spreading, as even they have to interact with humans.

And saying that “i havent taken the flu shot in 15 years and the last time i took the flu shot i got the flu” does not give off the same energy as “ive never worn a seatbelt and i haven’t gotten into a car accident” because as i said I had the flu, when i was a kid I used to get it at least once a year and then when i became an adult i stopped getting influenza vaccines and I haven’t has the flue ever since.
As far as vaccines In general go there is a difference between the polio tetanus, and other long standing vaccines that went through rigorous testing and met high standards and the covid vaccine which was definitely rushed and even though we were told whatever they did to make us feel safe taking it I think people have legitimate reason not to trust rich people who literally profit off of the death of the poor. And on top of all that there were phizer scientists who said that natural Immunity was much more effective than the covid vaccines. And also how many boosters are we on now? Are they going to just roll out daily boosters for covid? And I noticed you didn’t say anything about the wuhan lab covid origin being more likely than the infected wet market bat meat.
Like I already mentioned, it’s not relevant whether the virus was a lab leak, natural, an alien attack, or engineered by lizard people. It doesn’t matter that the rich me it worse because of greed, or that a fascist regime downplayed it at first.
What matters is the disease ended up spreading and killing people, and a vaccine was made to reduce the chance of death. The rich funded it even further because it interests them to not die either, or cause mass civil unrest from a ton of people dying. Not that complicated.

My understanding is that the US government bought the initial batch of covid vaccines and paid to have them administered. Then it switched to insurers paying for it with no out of pocket cost while the uninsured have other programs subsidizing it. It’s a similar situation for other vaccines like the flu. The source company isn’t eager to administer it out of some sense of altruism. They are getting paid, it’s just not by the recipient (or at least very indirectly).
And the ones paying don’t have to be acting altruistically either. For the insurance companies, they are motivated to incentivise preventative care because it’s a fairly cheap known cost compared to the risk of a members catching the disease. For the government, it pays to have healthy citizens working and paying taxes. And representatives get to tell voters they care about their health to the point of offering vaccines for free.
