I’m not in favor of this. Israel wants to be rewarded for their human rights abuses and blocking peace negotiations by having the U.S. make everyone else cave to pressure instead of Israel giving up their extreme demands. Saudi doesn’t care about suffering of others overseas but thinks that cozying up to Israel makes them in the U.S. and Europe’s good graces and takes pressure off of them to democratize. (Saudi saw how the U.S. supported Egypt’s coup against democracy as it was more favorable to Israel despite the literal piles of bodies of pro-democracy protestors).
