Reading through the link for the desk you purchased, it’s all plastic and particleboard. Definitely on the lower end materials wise.
I have an old Ikea modular desk setup, it’s survived close to 20 years I think? Similar to this https://www.ikea.com/au/en/cat/bekant-office-desks-18962/ but back then you could get addons to give you a bit of extra desk space on ends.
If you can afford it, go for a metal or hardwood frame with wood top (not particleboard). Will last decades.
Thank you! Yeah I wasn’t paying much attention to the materials when I purchased mine. I bought it because of the pandemic and had to start working from home so I just focused on size to fit external monitors.
