George R. R. Martin and refusing to write. Name a more iconic duo.

Still haven’t started actually reading ASoIaF, despite being a big fan and having already read tons of snippets from the books (thank AltShiftX for peaking my curiosity). Maybe this summer I will pick up AGOT.

The books are great and the show was great up until a point. One is an unfinished masterpiece, the other started as a masterpiece and ended like a sitcom designed by committee.

Aww, the first is quite unfortunate… The latter though, seems to be a more common fate nowadays…

Have you read any of Joe Abercrombie? I think a lot of people that enjoy ASoIaF do or would really enjoy his work, and he’s actually still releasing books.

Never heard of him, I believe. Will check his books out, thank you for the recommendation!

If you haven’t read it, try Wheel of Time. I can’t recommend it enough. Ignore the disgraceful Amazon show.

I’ve heard of it (and its incredible show xP) but never read anything. Will put it on my list for this summer.
