From Middle TN Raptor Center

This feathery ball of anger and sharp objects is our newest patient.

“Snoopy” comes from Murfreesboro, where we believe he was on the losing end of a territorial battle with another GHO.

He appears to not have any major injuries other than a few missing feathers, dehydrated, hungry, and full of bad attitude. However, that attitude tells us he is exactly as he should be and we’re hoping for a quick recovery.

He took down medicine, electrolytes, and a whole quail without too much trouble. He has the biggest and clearest eyes!

Helping an injured animal will not change the world, but it changes the world for that one animal.

Ah, I wasn’t familiar with asocial. That is them more appropriately. They all were from outside and had pretty hectic lives and I don’t think they ever re-domesticated totally. They were good cats overall for the most part, but were never super friendly, more affectionate in a demanding way, on their terms.

My first cat I got from a shelter, and she was the most amazing cat I ever had, and I loved her so much, but I lost her to kidney disease about 13 months after I got her. My 3 rescues after that all got me used to some less traditional feline love, and they were all unique in the things that made them happy or angry, so it was a bunch of active learning on my part, especially as I had them during the time I was getting my own behaviors sorted, so I probably wasn’t too much different myself at the time.

I didn’t think you are or were aspd, but I guess you know that. I just wanted to give you an alternative possibility.

Ah! After rereading, I see my mistake! I’m sorry, but it’s applicable to the cats as well! I’m so sorry. And so embarrassed! Please accept my apology, dear friend.
