Social media giant Meta says it has officially begun ending news availability on its platforms in Canada starting Tuesday.

But they wouldn’t be able to confuse it with genuine news - as they’d know that actual legit news doesn’t exist on that website anymore. What it will do is eliminate the few pieces of legitimate news from the website. Something else will fill the gap. People got news long before there was FB or Google, heck even before internet and computers.

But they wouldn’t be able to confuse it with genuine news - as they’d know that actual legit news doesn’t exist on that website anymore.

The people getting the majority of their news from Facebook likely considered the memes to be more legitimate than the actual news anyway.
