It can be simultaneously true that what happened to him was unjust and also that the world is a better place without him.

Unfortunately, the world has more of him than we did when he was living. That’s the main problem with killing over heckling someone to death. Killing makes them potential martyrs, only heckling diminishes their impact.

You can’t heckle your way out of fascism. Not when it’s gotten this far. Maybe if it was at 5% support. But when ~30% support it and put them in power? Heckling doesn’t do the job at this point.

Charlie Kirk was not a component of the power structure, be was a troll without actual authority. His voice contributed to the power of others, but his voice is louder dead than alive and now it’s “improper” to criticize him because it’s bad form to speak ill of the dead.

Killing him did nothing but make everything worse.

You’re not entirely wrong. Killing him made him a martyr. It’s crazy that people think of him positively. I disagree though that his death makes everything worse. It allows opportunity to rethink things

I’d say the glorious frog, chicken, unicorn, raccoon along with un-costumed people dancing a dance-off at the ICE headquarters are doing good work. Doing more than most.

Kirk was bait. Don’t take the bait. Dance like they don’t matter. Until they don’t matter any more.

Yes, extra-judicial killings are unjust as they do not belong in a society upheld by the rule of law, even if the victim was a piece of shit.
