    I still don’t like how they put “X% whatever.”

    I’d rather it be “0.0X% mutations tied to region whatever”.

    Same info, slightly harder to understand, but actually explains how it works.

    Every generation is a roll of the dice, you might get all the genetic marker for an ethnicity from one parent, you may get 50%, you may get none. Most often some random percent.

    We dont need to simplify everything to the point it’s not accurate

      I guess you’re right, the way they present it certainly boosts the uninformed “I’m 20% Irish!” claims.

      Ancestry actually does a lot to explain the process and the results once you read past the simple presentation. But the presentation itself is problematic.
