Hello!

I’ve been having an issue with using Perchance for four or five days. Verification fails and I cannot use any of the perchance generators that I normally use. (Mostly character chat, character generator, character description generator and image generator) I tried:

refreshing the page

Opening in multiple windows

restarting my device

turned on pop ups

made sure ad blocker was off

deleted browsing history

Deleted saved site data

Opened in a private window

Tried a different device

Tried a different browser

Tried signing up for an account (kicked me out because it can’t verify)

Cleared all my chats and characters and started over again

Made sure my device was fully updated

I’m using two different generations of Amazon fire tablets, primarily with the Silk browser. Have been happily and regularly using Perchance for about a year now without a comparable issue. I’m not using a VPN. I haven’t done anything differently, the site just stopped verifying me.

So far, nothing has worked. I can’t think of anything else I could possibly do. There have been posts about this issue on Reddit, from myself and others with the same issue with no suggestions that have worked for us.

I posted about this on the other Lemmy forum, with no suggestions so far. I really love the site and enjoy using it, really appreciate that it exists. There isn’t another AI character chat site available that works as well for me and it’s been disappointing to have to do without it. If there’s anyone with any advice at all, it would be very greatly appreciated, for those of us who have had this problem.
