Afternoon everyone,

I wanted to go over a few points related to pricing, stats and the roadmap

Pricing

  1. Sync for Lemmy is completely free with ads (the same as Sync for Reddit)

  2. You can remove ads in the account picker or drawer for a one time fee of ~$20

  3. Sync Ultra also removes ads but it’s not required

  4. I’ll be working on regional prices over the coming weeks

There are now 24k installed users up from 100 the previous day!

I’m going to be spending the next few days going through all of the comments / messages and fixing any crashes.

As always thanks for the support and hope you’re liking Sync!

Lj

Not sure if you wanted feedback here, but here it goes. First, thank you, I missed my Sync.

    • When clicking my profile page, it would be nice if comments and posts both displayed by default, instead of just posts. I believe this is how it worked before.
    • When clicking a past comment to view, I would like to display context (all parent comments) by default. I don’t think I saw a setting for this, but could be wrong. Right now, each parent comment to display is an individual click.
    • Upvote/Downvote counter

That is all I have for now. Cheers!

Agree with all these. Though I’d love some flexibility in how up/downvotes are displayed. Having tried Jerboa and Kbin a bit, I realised that I actually usually prefer seeing a combined score as default; it’s better for my mental health to not know I’m getting downvotes.

Having the option to toggle would be good though. And/or showing the breakdown of up/downvotes if you long-press a post/comment score.

I was thinking about this point yesterday and agree 100% hahaha. It really depends on where I’m at mentally that week. Multiple options is usually the best option!
