    But they are not not blaming him for his past actions they’re blaming him for his current actions. They’re mad he’s stepping down.

      Exactly. If his intention was already to retire while speaking against this administration, he would do more good by sticking it out a little longer as an activist judge and forcing the DOJ to fire him. He’s complying in advance.

      Really? Sounds like blame for lack of past action to me.

      Edit: I guess I could see the comment go both ways. I’m unsupportive if the idea is to blame the judge for letting things get to where they are.

        The comment mentions nothing about past actions, only about the possibility of current actions. You are inferring what you want to, not what’s implied.
