I bought one that connects to the 12v outlet (what we used to call the “cigarette lighter slot”) in the car. It’s come in handy.

What’s the use case for these? Not needing to fill up tires at the gas station?

Pretty much. Mine was cheap, but my favorite feature is the targeted auto stop. So I set it to a pressure, and it stops when it reaches it automatically, which no gas station pump ever did for me. So I can get them all to the exact same pressure without stopping to check where I’m at a bunch mid fill-up.

Ah ok - if the gas station doesn’t have such a machine that’s pretty useful. My next gas station has such a compressor, I enter the pressure and it does everything automatically once the hose is connected.

Anyways, keeping your tires at correct pressure probably pays for such a pump in a short time.

I have a Ryobi one, technically seperate battery but it’s so good it’s worth it.

Attach, set the PSI I want, hit go, it stops on its own, no awkwardly crouching down holding a button or keeping my eye on a dial that wobbles a lot.
