because EU, in case you didn’t know, is a continent of many diverse states and the acronym EU is understood as ‘europe’ not ‘european union’. which is what i imagine a healthy american continent is. AM not US.
I don’t think anybody with an opinion of any value uses EU to mean Europe. EUR maybe.
It would be a good thing in the assumption that the ruling country’s electoral system takes over the worse US electoral system. Splitting the USA up would potentially empower Russia and China with Alaska’s return.
As in Germany, for example, alone takes in 50 states, Puerte Rico, Guam, military bases, partial claim to the panama canal, etc.
