I proposed on stage in front of 15,000 people which was fun but Jesus yeah I knew how that question would go because it was a hypothetical, complete with “I wonder why he’s got a ring sizing kit” in the weeks leading up. It being public was a genuine surprise to him, he thought he was on stage for a different reason.

People afterwards thought I was being totally spontaneous with it. Oh god no. What if he’d said no? Yikes.
