Digital artists and illustrators are abandoning Elon Musk’s blogging platform X (formerly Twitter) over the introduction of a new controversial image-editing feature powered by artificial intelligence (AI). According to reports, the creators claimed that the new tool could be used to modify others’ works without their consent.

One such popular creator championing the boycott is Mu-jik Park, the renowned South Korean artist known by the pen name Boichi. Boichi is the creator of the hit manga series Dr Stone and Sun-Ken Rock.

I wish this were true but unfortunately I see artists and commentators I like and cannot believe are closeted right-wingers plugging their X accounts all the time.

It’s a shame and takes several points off my image of them but it goes to show how little people care about [American] politics (especially when talking about non-American users) and just how addicting it is to have that audience you’ve built up over 15+ years.

I don’t buy it. It’s been long enough. Elon’s views are not secret. The content of X is obvious. Anyone still using X is totally advertising their approval of fascism. Believe them.
