I agree with you. At least we can be certain it was not the western supplied cluster shells that they promised not to use in populated areas: Ukrainians have been very strict about sticking to thekt promises.

As for Russians we also know they have been lying for as long as we know them, I grep up in a country on Russias doorstep and even as a child I heard my dad joking about them and their somewhat conflicted relationship with facts.

But it wasn’t until this war that I realized that this isn’t just old jokes but todays reality: “We will of course not attack Ukraine!”, “Moskva runs bybits own engine towards Sevastopol”, “Ukrainians shoot prisoners in the knees” (but they have thick Russian accent and a day later a video of the rehearsal video is released and everyone can see how they rehearsed “getting shot in the knees”), “Ukrainian shelled Olevnika” (but no Russian guards were hot) etc etc.

        Hold on:

Even Wagner boss Prigozhin admitted recently that [everyone knows] that Ukraine did not shell Donetsk, they only attacked military positions.

Don’t fall for Russian propaganda and don’t repeat it.

(For those who think “but both sides”: Donetsk looked better after 8 years of supposed “Ukrainian artillery shelling” than any other place looked after a week of “Russian liberation”.)

PS: I didn’t downvote as I hope this was an hones mistake. And yes, I know Ukrainians have done wrong things too, but I will point out whenever I see falsehoods posted.

There are literal pictures in the article.

There are images of a burning building. We can’t tell who hit it and with what.

        From the article itself:

Kostrubitsky said Ukrainian forces used cluster munitions in the shelling that caused the blaze. Reuters could not independently verify the information. Both sides have used cluster munitions in the course of Russia’s 17-month invasion of Ukraine.

        such lovely propagana.

Oh. they have pictures. It absolutely must have been the Ukranians who sent the cluster bombs. absolutely couldn’t have been the russians then taking pictures. not at all. russians would never do that. they’re so upstanding and integriful. or something.

/s Russian propaganda is Russian propaganda… and it’s surprisingly transparent.
